MBE 6000 Production Capacity Doubled
Paris, France, RIBER is pleased to announce that it has completed the first phase of an expansion program that has upgraded and increased the available clean room space at its fabrication facility in Rueil-Malmaison, 15 kilometers west of Paris (France). New assembly and test equipment is now in use, which allows RIBER to double its MBE 6000 production capacity this year as compared with 1999. An additional 1000 square meters is available, which RIBER plans to use for future expansion of the existing facility to meet expected future increases in demand.
Michel Picault, President and CEO of RIBER, stated that, "This expansion project was initiated in October 99 to match our production capacity with the strong demand for RIBER s MBE production systems from GaAs merchant suppliers and foundries, and has been completed on schedule. As a result, I am confident that we will continue to deliver the industry s most advanced MBE production equipment on a timely basis to meet our customers demands."
RIBER is a leading supplier of MBE products and services to the compound semiconductor industry and offers a wide range of systems, from R&D reactors to high-volume 4x4" and 4x6" production systems. RIBER has installed over 380 MBE systems worldwide, and provides a global service network for fast maintenance and customer support. RIBER is very active in advancing MBE technology through collaborations and joint R&D projects with major partners worldwide.

Secure Your Hydrogen Supply
A study supply of high-purity hydrogen is critical to semiconductor fabrication. Supply chain interruptions are challenging manufacturers, leading to production slowdowns and stoppages. On-site hydrogen generation offers a scalable alternative for new and existing fabs, freeing the operator from dependence on delivered gas.Plant managers understand the critical role that hydrogen plays in semiconductor fabrication. That important job includes crystal growth, carrier gas, wafer annealing, and in the emerging Extreme UV Lithography (EUV) that will enable new generations of devices. As the vast need for semiconductors grows across all sectors of world economies, so does the need for high-purity hydrogen.
Take control with Nel on-site hydrogen generation.
