RF Micro Devices Creates 3V PCS Low Noise Amplifier

Greensboro, NC. RF Micro Devices, Inc. (Nasdaq: RFMD), a leading provider of proprietary radio frequency integrated circuits (RFICs) for wireless communications applications, has developed the RF2364 -- a new low noise amplifier with a high dynamic range designed for CDMA, TDMA PCS and WCDMA/cdma2000 applications.

Manufactured with an advanced GaAs HBT (gallium arsenide heterojunction bipolar transistor) process, the RF2364 functions as an outstanding front end low noise amplifier with the bias current able to be set externally. Featuring a single 3V power supply, 19dB gain and a low noise and high intercept point, the RF2364 includes a power down feature that can be used to completely turn off the device.

Shipped in an extremely small SOT23-5 package, the RF2364 is available for immediate shipment at $0.76 per unit in order quantities of 10,000.
