TriQuint Semiconductor Announces Establishment of Massachusetts Design Center
The Design Center Will Focus On Wireless RFICs for Cellphone Handset Applications
Hillsboro, OR. TriQuint Semiconductor (Nasdaq:TQNT), Inc. today announced the opening of its Engineering Design Center in Massachusetts. The Center, established to take advantage of the strong RFIC design talent in the region will initially focus on applications which serve the cellular phone handset market.
The Center, located in Lowell, Massachusetts is headed by Dr. Dilek Barlas and reports to TriQuint Semiconductor s Wireless Communications Division headquartered in Hillsboro, Oregon.
"TriQuint decided to establish this design center in Massachusetts to take advantage of the excellent pool of RF engineering talent in the local area. We are up and running with a strong nucleus of the team already in place. The Massachusetts design team will be focusing on the development of integrated circuits for the worldwide cellphone market. The center represents another piece of the picture of TriQuint s expanding business capacity (along with the recently announced new 6" wafer fab in Texas) focused on serving our worldwide cellphone customer base" said Ron Ruebusch, VP of TriQuint s Wireless Components Division.

Secure Your Hydrogen Supply
A study supply of high-purity hydrogen is critical to semiconductor fabrication. Supply chain interruptions are challenging manufacturers, leading to production slowdowns and stoppages. On-site hydrogen generation offers a scalable alternative for new and existing fabs, freeing the operator from dependence on delivered gas.Plant managers understand the critical role that hydrogen plays in semiconductor fabrication. That important job includes crystal growth, carrier gas, wafer annealing, and in the emerging Extreme UV Lithography (EUV) that will enable new generations of devices. As the vast need for semiconductors grows across all sectors of world economies, so does the need for high-purity hydrogen.
Take control with Nel on-site hydrogen generation.
