CyOptics Opens New Development and Manufacturing Facilities in Yokneam, Israel
Adds both office and cleanroom space to its expanding research, development, and manufacturing organization for 40Gbps and ultra-long-haul optical transmission components
Burlington, MA. Reflecting its aggressive growth, CyOptics Inc., today announced that it is has opened a new development and manufacturing facility in Yokneam, in Northern Israel. Yokneam is situated between Tel Aviv and Haifa, the two Israeli centers of high-technology expertise, giving CyOptics access to one of the world s most talented and dynamic work forces. With its convenient access, and its beautiful location in the Carmel mountains near the Mediteranean Sea, Yokneam is rapidly becoming one of Israel s premier high-technology centers. Along with a high concentration of companies focused on wireless communications, microelectronics, and telecommunications Yokneam offers a depth of auxiliary development services, including ISO 9000 certification expertise, and EMI and EMC test facilities.
"Our new Yokneam facility includes state-of-the-art cleanrooms and equipment for optoelectronic device packaging, test, burn-in, and qualification, as well as development labs and expanded office space", said Dror Motovilov, CyOptics Vice President of Operations. "The new facility enables us to continue on our aggressive development, hiring, and manufacturing ramp up."
"As our products emerge out of development and into customer deployment, our new facility will allow CyOptics to ramp manufacturing capacity to meet customer demand", stated Micha Zimmermann, Vice President of Research and Development. "Additionally, the state-of-the-art optics laboratories will enhance and speed our product development efforts."
CyOptics products address a market expected to grow to over $1.3B in 2003, and conservatively estimated at $3B by 2005. These products - transmission components for 40Gbps and Ultra-Long-Haul transmission, will advance the state-of-the-art in very high speed and long distance optical networking.

Secure Your Hydrogen Supply
A study supply of high-purity hydrogen is critical to semiconductor fabrication. Supply chain interruptions are challenging manufacturers, leading to production slowdowns and stoppages. On-site hydrogen generation offers a scalable alternative for new and existing fabs, freeing the operator from dependence on delivered gas.Plant managers understand the critical role that hydrogen plays in semiconductor fabrication. That important job includes crystal growth, carrier gas, wafer annealing, and in the emerging Extreme UV Lithography (EUV) that will enable new generations of devices. As the vast need for semiconductors grows across all sectors of world economies, so does the need for high-purity hydrogen.
Take control with Nel on-site hydrogen generation.
