Riber has announced sales of MBE reactors to three customers - Picogiga, Intelligent Epitaxy Technology (IntelliEPI) and the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL).
Riber has received the first order from Picogiga for three of its MBE 7000 production machines. The MBE 7000 is a new 7 x 6-inch reactor that increases capacity by 75% compared to previous MBE 6000 4 x 6-inch model. Delivery of the systems is scheduled for 2001.
IntelliEPI has ordered a MBE 6000 production system as part of a recently announced expansion of the company s merchant epiwafer capacity. Two Riber MBE 49 (multiple 4-inch) production systems are already in operation at IntelliEPI s facility in Richardson, Texas.
Finally, the NRL (Washington, DC) has placed order with Riber for a Compact 21 reactor, a 3-inch, single-wafer MBE research system. This is the fifth Compact 21 system to be delivered worldwide, and will provide the material for a variety of research programs including optoelectronic device technology.
