3.5 GHz GaAs Power Amplifier Enhances Wireless Data Transmission Rates
Santa Clara, CA. Celeritek, Inc. (Nasdaq: CLTK) announced today availability of a new W-CDMA (wideband code division multiple access) power amplifier for wireless data transmission at 3.5Ghz. The part is manufactured in a miniature, 4mm square, leadless chip carrier package.

Celeritek s model CMM3566-LC is a linear power amplifier intended for use in subscriber units and base stations that operate in the 3.45 to 3.50 GHz frequency range. Typical features include operation at 7.0 volts, 30 dB gain at operating output, +24 dBm linear output power (W-CDMA).
The CMM3566-LC is packaged in a low-cost and space-efficient LCC-8 (leadless chip carrier) plastic package measuring only 4mm x 4mm x 1.8mm high that provides excellent electrical stability and low thermal resistance. As an additional benefit to designers and manufacturers alike, reduced circuit board space and cost is further achieved through minimal external circuitry for bias and matching.
