AIXTRON Establishes Company AIXTRON Korea

Aachen, Germany. In order to support the increasing number of customers in Korea, AIXTRON is pleased to announce that the new company, AIXTRON Korea has now been established in Seoul, Bun Dang Area. The opening of the AIXTRON Korea facility in January means AIXTRON is offering its broad base of Korean customers even more comprehensive services, sales support and training and is established in order to provide fastest possible service response time. The service for Thomas Swan (TSSEL) and Epigress equipment is included while regular sales for these two brands is handled through their representations as before. AIXTRON will work on ensuring customers direct support for minimum downtime, maximum operation efficiency of their systems and prompt responses to general inquiries.
The new office is headed by the General Manager Y.Y. Kim, a well known and experienced manager in the Korean semiconductor equipment arena.
Dr. Holger Juergensen stated: "The new AIXTRON Korea sales and service center is part of our worldwide program to rapidly expand the Network of AIXcellence to offer every customer fast, reliable and high quality local service. This is also very important regarding the company s revenue growth in Korea. It is further in line with our efforts to increase the availability of spare parts from the Service Centers in Japan, Europe, USA and Taiwan. In total, the company has recently spent over US$ 1 million in increasing the stock levels." AIXTRON Korea is also introducing various service packages for Korean customers.
AIXTRON offers a wide range of epitaxial systems for MOVPE, VPE and LPE from R&D-oriented systems up to large-scale Planetary Reactor® production systems for up to 25x4" or 9x6" wafers. The company has sold over 500 systems worldwide, provides an extensive service and support network for maintenance and upgrading and is represented in over 15 countries.
