New Center Augments Endwave s Engineering, Production Capabilities and Enhances Flexibility to Meet Customer Needs

Sunnyvale, CA. Endwave Corporation (Nasdaq:ENWV), a leading provider of radio frequency (RF) subsystems for wireless ultra-broadband access networks, today announced the opening of a new design center in Los Angeles county. Located in Torrance, Calif., the design center increases Endwave s electrical and mechanical engineering resources by providing enhanced product development capabilities. The facility offers immediate access to strategic partner TRW (Nasdaq:TRW) for MMIC design and foundry services.

Concentrating primarily on the design of millimeterwave transceivers -- the core components of broadband wireless transmission systems -- the Los Angeles design center will operate as part of Endwave s "virtual design team," collaborating with design teams in Sunnyvale and Diamond Springs, Calif., as well as with customers engineering teams around the world. The center will also have product development capabilities for complete outdoor units and custom RF modules, such as up and down converters, amplifiers, and multipliers. Equipped with state-of-the-art computer systems using advanced CAD and RF design software applications, the design center will offer complete prototyping, testing and quality assurance capabilities to Endwave s existing and expanding customer base.

"The Los Angeles design center augments the top-notch engineering team we have assembled in Diamond Springs and Sunnyvale, allowing us to accelerate time-to-market for new designs and to increase flexibility to meet customer needs," said John Mikulsky, vice president of Product Development, Endwave Corporation. "The opening of this design facility underscores Endwave s ongoing commitment to innovation and engineering excellence in the design and manufacture of advanced millimeterwave subsystems."

Located near strategic partner TRW, the design center will utilize TRW s gallium arsenide (GaAs) foundry and other support services. The design facility will also provide Endwave with immediate access to the outstanding engineering talent in the Southern California region, including access to students in high caliber engineering programs at University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), University of Southern California (USC) and Cal Tech.
