TRIQUINT SEMICONDUCTOR ANNOUNCES PLANNED PARTICIPATION IN THE JOINT STRIKE FIGHTER (JSF) PROGRAM
TRIQUINT S ENGINEERING AND MANUFACTURING EXPERTISE COMBINED WITH NORTHRUP GRUMMAN S DESIGN AND SYSTEM INTEGRATION LEADERSHIP DEFINE A SUCCESSFUL TEAM
HILLSBORO, OREGON. On October 26, 2001, the government announced the selection of the Lockheed Martin-Northrop Grumman-BAE SYSTEMS Team to develop the Joint Strike Fighter. Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems will be developing the airborne radar. TriQuint Semiconductor Texas and Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems of Lithicum, Maryland have a long and mutually successful relationship in development of advanced radars. The two companies plan to continue to build this business relationship as Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems commences the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) radar development program.
Through the life of the JSF program, TriQuint could receive a portion of the $200B Department of Defense award. TriQuint currently manufactures high performance GaAs microcircuits for many other Northrop Grumman programs.
