Philips Analytical opens Arizona facility (Materials and Equipment)
Characterization and metrology tool supplier Philips Analytical has opened a new 10 000 sq. ft office and demonstration facility located in Chandler, Arizona. Built to support growth in semiconductor equipment markets, the company s new center will support the Americas region and solidify its existing links with the semiconductor R&D and production facilities in the West and Midwest regions of the US. "Philips Analytical made a strategic choice to expand its semiconductor office in this part of the US as a result of its centralized location," said Gjalt Kuiperes, general manager for the Americas. "The new facility enables us to better support our semiconductor and data storage customer base and also provides easy accessibility to Texas and California." Now fully operational, the new facility combines a complete demonstration and application fab, including a full range of semiconductor metrology tools and analytical instrumentation.
