InGaAs monitors and receivers (New Devices)
Princeton, NJ. Sensors Unlimited has unveiled a 10 Gbit/s PIN receiver module that complies with OC-192/STM-64 SONET/SDH specifications, making it ideal for long haul and metro systems. Integrating the company s InGaAs pin diode with a GaAs HBT preamplifier, the SU-10PSR features a responsivity of 1 A/W at 1550 nm, dark current of 10 nA and optical sensitivity of 24 dBm. The device operates in the 12801625 nm range for use in multi- or single-mode applications. The company has also introduced an InGaAs-based multi-channel power array monitor for DWDM, add/drop multiplexers and EDFA gain monitoring applications. Available with 8, 12 or 16 fiber ribbon pigtail formats, the array is designed to monitor in C, L or S bands (12801620 nm). Available in a hermetically sealed 19 21 7 mm package, the SU-008-MCPM features a maximum adjacent (zero bias) cross talk of 35 dB, dark current of 300 pA, and responsivity of >0.85 A/W. www.sensorsinc.com
