Infineon launches PHEMT switches (New Devices)
WIRELESS PRODUCTS Munich, Germany Infineon Technologies has released three GaAs PHEMT switches designed for multiband mobile phones, WLAN and Bluetooth products. The new circuits are suited to transmit/receive antenna switching, filter band selection and LO switching. These PHEMT switches can also be combined with duplexers and SAW filters (see ). The CSH210 (standard logic) and CSH210R (reverse logic) are general-purpose SPDT switches offered in a SOT363 (2 mm 2 mm) package. The insertion loss is 0.3 and 0.4 dB at 1 and 2 GHz respectively, while the isolation is better than 24 dB at up to 1 GHz and better than 20 dB at up to 2 GHz. Both switches achieve a P1dB value of 30 dBm when biased with a +3 V control voltage. The CSH210P is a higher-power version of the CSH210 that achieves a P(1d B) of 33 dBm and an IP3 of 56 dBm (at +3 V bias). The company has manufactured all of the switches in its new 6 inch GaAs wafer fab facility. The switches are available now. www.infineon.com
