Luminus introduces new UV-A emitter

News

LED maximises 'optical output per dollar' with peak wavelength options of 365nm, 385nm, 395nm, and 405nm

Luminus Devices has introduced the SST-08H-UV, an improved version of the SST-08-UV, to its high-power UV-A LED series.

The new LED, which can be driven at 1A, is said to maximise 'optical output per dollar' with peak wavelength options including 365nm, 385nm, 395nm, and 405nm, ensuring precise spectral output for optimal performance.

The device is suitable for a broad reach of applications including horticulture, curing inks, coatings, and adhesives, photocatalytic air and water purification, medical and analytic instrumentation, diagnostics, fluorescence imaging, disinfection and antimicrobial applications, torch and flashlight illumination, odour removal, and insect traps.

According to Luminus, the industry-standard 3.5 mm x 3.5 mm package allows for easy integration into existing systems and a wide viewing angle of 130° provides uniform illumination across various applications.
