Sivers appoints Alexander McCann as senior advisor

Sivers Semiconductors has announced the appointment of Alexander McCann as a strategic senior advisor to the board and the CEO. In this role, McCann’s primary focus will be on strengthening and scaling the company’s photonics operations.
McCann joins Sivers Semiconductors with more than 25 years of executive leadership experience in the semiconductor industry with companies including Linear Technology, Analog Devices, and Dialog Semiconductor.
McCann was formerly the SVP of Global Operations at Dialog Semiconductor, where he oversaw global operations and supply chain management. During his tenure, he was part of the executive team that successfully executed Dialog’s $6 billion sale to Renesas Electronics in 2021.
Prior to joining Dialog Semiconductor, McCann served as VP of global operations of Analog Devices where he led all operational functions including global multi-site manufacturing, engineering, facilities, customer service, supply chain functions and engineering support. Before joining Analog Devices, McCann also served as COO at Linear Technology for more than a decade. During his time as COO, he helped successfully execute a $14 billion sale to Analog Devices in 2017.

McCann holds a Master of Business Administration (with Distinction) from the University of Glasgow Business School. In addition to his new role with Sivers Semiconductors, McCann serves as president of Fortan Advisors and is a semiconductor partner at Alexa Capital. He also sits on the boards of LUMEOVA and Probe Test Solutions Ltd (PTSL).
