Ex Ams Osram CEO to become Aixtron chair

Aixtron SE has announced that Alexander Everke, a current member of the supervisory board, will become chairman to replace Kim Schindelhauer, who intends to resign from his position at the conclusion of the AGM in 2025.
Additionally, the company will propose the election of Ingo Bank as a new member of the board at the AGM on May 15, 2025.
Ingo Bank is currently CFO of the City Football Group and has extensive experience in both the finance and technology sectors. If elected at the AGM, Bank shall become a member of the supervisory board's audit committee.
Schindelhauer was re-elected in 2023 for a maximum of three years to give the board sufficient time to identify a suitable successor. This process has now been successfully completed: Alexander Everke, former CEO of Ams Osram AG, who has been a member of the board of Aixtron SE since May 2024, is planned for election as his successor as chairman. The election of the new board hairman will take place following the AGM.
“It has been an honour for me to contribute to Aixtron in various management roles for over 30 years. Now the time has come for me to pass on the baton. Everke is an excellent choice for the role of supervisory board chairman. I wish Aixtron and him all the best,“ said Schindelhauer.
Felix Grawert, president of Aixtron SE, thanked Schindelhauer for his long-standing commitment and how he had shaped Aixtron with his expertise and entrepreneurial decision-making, thereby "making a significant contribution to the company's success.“
In 1992, Kim Schindelhauer joined the former Aixtron Semiconductor Technologies GmbH as managing director. In 1997, he played a leading role in the successful IPO of Aixtron AG and subsequently became a member of the company's executive board. In 2002, he transitioned to the supervisory board, which he led for over 20 years with only a brief interruption in 2017, when he took over operational responsibility again as CEO and CFO for six months in a difficult situation.
Under his leadership, Aixtron grew from a niche provider of LED manufacturing equipment to a global market leader for compound semiconductor deposition equipment.
Ingo Bank is CFO of the City Football Group since May 2023. From May 2020 until April 2023, he served as CFO of Ams Osram, , having joined the company from Osram Licht AG, where he had also served as CFO for four years.
Bank began his career at the Philips technology group, where he spent 18 years working in a number of roles, including positions in the LCD division in Asia, as CFO of the lamps business and as global CFO for the healthcare division.
