Instrument Systems appoints new VP of R&D

Optical measurement expert Daniel Winters to lead company's development team

Instrument Systems GmbH, the Munich-based manufacturer of solutions for light measurement, has appointed Daniel Winters as the new VP R&D.

Winters holds a PhD in Technical Physics in the field of semiconductor technology and measurement technology, and contributes more than 20 years of professional experience in the development of optical measurement technology.

In his previous positions he was CEO and CTO for Trioptics USA, as well as acting consultant to manufacturers of optical systems and optical measurement technology. His thematic focus is on the areas AR/VR/MR and 3D-Sensing.

Markus Ehbrecht, CEO of Instrument Systems said: “With Daniel, a highly experienced manager takes over our motivated development team. Thanks to his expertise in leading optical measurement technologies and their markets, Instrument Systems is once again gaining profile as an innovative solution provider in the latest fields of light measurement technology. I am looking forward to working with him!”

Winters will be responsible for coordinating development activities related to the growing cooperation between Instrument Systems’ international locations. “The variety of demanding applications for Instrument Systems' high-precision measuring systems is exceptionally attractive from a technological and strategic point of view. Together with our highly qualified teams worldwide, I want to strengthen Instrument Systems for new challenges and continue to lead them to success,” says Winters about his new job.
