Far-UVC company chooses SR2000HT-RR platform for UVLED research and development

UVC light company Lit Thinking has picked Taiyo Nippon Sanso's SR2000HT-RR MOCVD platform for its UVLED research and development.

“Taiyo Nippon Sanso is very proud to establish a relationship with Lit Thinking for development and commercialisation of UVLED technology and products. Taiyo Nippon Sanso is looking forward to working with John Rajchert, Leo Schowalter, and the entire Lit Thinking team,” said TNSC senior corporate officer Kunihiro Kobayashi.

“Lit Thinking is thrilled to partner with Taiyo Nippon Sanso,” said John Rajchert, CEO, Lit Thinking. “The integration of the TNSC SR2000HT-RR MOCVD system marks a pivotal advancement for us, equipping our team with unparalleled materials growth capabilities. This collaboration not only accelerates our journey towards groundbreaking UVLED technologies, but also enhances our ability to develop commercial products that promise to redefine safe indoor environments. We are eager to leverage this technology to push the boundaries of what's possible in UVLED applications.”

As applications for UVLEDs expand, TNSC expects its HT (high temperature) MOCVD platforms to be the platforms of choice for advanced AlGaN device fabrication.

Secure Your Hydrogen Supply

A study supply of high-purity hydrogen is critical to semiconductor fabrication. Supply chain interruptions are challenging manufacturers, leading to production slowdowns and stoppages. On-site hydrogen generation offers a scalable alternative for new and existing fabs, freeing the operator from dependence on delivered gas.

Plant managers understand the critical role that hydrogen plays in semiconductor fabrication. That important job includes crystal growth, carrier gas, wafer annealing, and in the emerging Extreme UV Lithography (EUV) that will enable new generations of devices. As the vast need for semiconductors grows across all sectors of world economies, so does the need for high-purity hydrogen.

Take control with Nel on-site hydrogen generation.
